Holiday Helper was started after owner Julie Wilhelm wanted to use her interior design talents to bring the stress of the holiday season to a minimum.
Julie got the idea after remembering when her grandmother passed away near Christmas and her mom loved decorating and cooking for the Christmas party that took place at her house. That year in 2001 Julie decided while her mom was out of town to have the entire house decorated so when she returned the house would look perfect. Julie just wanted to try and put up a little holiday cheer; there was just one huge problem to overcome.
At this time Julie's parents were remodeling their house and they had been living in between a hotel and the upstairs of the house. So the only place that was available was the staircase and the office that was also doubling as the kitchen.
Since the house was under construction there were no decorations or tree to be found. Julie decided to head over to the local store and buy decorations and to a nearby Christmas tree lot for the tree.
As her mom came back to the house, Julie just remembers her mom's eyes lighting up and being so excited. Even though that Christmas was not the normal, Julie wanted to do whatever she could to make it feel like it had every other year before.
This is how the idea of Holiday Helper was born, to help people who really don't have the time or energy but would still like to have a nicely decorated home to show off to their friends and family.
There are already so many things to think about during the Holidays and Holiday Helper is here for you. Whether you are coming from out of town, a bachelor, the busy executive or head of the family festivities, no job is too big or too small.
